O-ACTS Academy

OCT acting and musical theatre classes encourage children to learn:

Beginner Level, ages Kindergarten - 9 years

This class explores creative imagination and movement in dance and will improve socialization, fine motor skills, listening skills, and memorization skills. Class is limited with a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 10. 

Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 4 pm to 5 pm

O-ACT Jr PLayers, ages 11-17

This class emphasizes acting techniques,  acting terminology, improvisation skills, scene studies, communication skills , team building, memorization techniques (which improve academics), social scenarios, and all forms of musical theatre dance, movement and expression. These include musical theatre, rhythm and Broadway tap styles, lyrical movement, theatre jazz, tumbling, and combat choreography for stage.

Students must audition to determine their placement in this class or have taken previous O-Acts classes.

Intro Level: Tuesdays 5 pm to 7 pm

Intermediate Level: 1 & 2 Thursdays 5 pm to 7 pm

Intermediate Level 2 & 3: Mondays 5 pm to 7 pm


Kids Act Out, Ages 3-5

O-ACT Players, Ages 18+

This class features emphasis on acting technique, improv, theatre skills and exercises.

FEES:

Ages 3-5: $25/month*

Ages K-9, single 1 hour class per week: $40/month*

Ages K-9, additional 1 hour class per week: $55/month (includes initial single 1 hour class per week)*

Ages 10-18, single 2 hour class per week: $55/month*

Ages 10-18, additional 2 hour class per week: $85/month*

If a student has to miss a class, they can always do a make up class by attending any of the other classes offered.

Family discount: 20% off additional kids per family

*Full and partial scholarships are offered based on financial need. OCT provides limited scholarships to organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of Opelika-Auburn, STEPS, R.E.A.C.H. Ministries, Big House, and Circles of Opelika.
